Petition against new attacks on the 'Cuban Five'
The DMW supports the petition sent to President Barack Obama.
We ask the President of the United States of America, Barack Obama, to pardon the Cuban Five who were found guilty during an unfair trial and have now served 12 years of the extremely severe sentences they received that cannot be judicially justified. These five human beings wanted to stop terrorist acts against innocent people and were subsequently branded as terrorists.
Amnesty International considers their release to be a human rights imperative. The former US President and Nobel Prize Winner Jimmy Carter made an appeal in support of the demand in April 2011. Help to break through the wall of silence and sign the appeal.
