Once again, a reception of the DMW Diplomats International took place, declared as a spring festival and turned into a great success!
We managed to honour Senator Serkan Bayram—member of the Turkish National Assembly—with the Peace Prize for Humanity. This award was regarded as very deserving by all factions and parties—even the opposition—in Turkey, who subsequently sent numerous congratulations, thereby proving that this event garnered significant international interest. In his acceptance speech, Senator Bayram specifically addressed the challenges faced by people with disabilities and proposed solutions on how disadvantages can still lead to success. He suggested even establishing a ministry dedicated to this issue.
Another focus was the use of singing as a tool of diplomacy. It was demonstrated that this could achieve a higher level of acceptance among peoples and nations, enabling even difficulties to be heard. We showed how a melodious song can deeply reach people and evoke entirely different emotions. Singer Miriam Geiger delivered high-quality and impactful vocal performances, which the audience regarded as the pinnacle of communication. We plan to further develop this psychological approach and propose it in difficult negotiations, something that Asian and South American countries have long practiced.
Equally compelling was the presentation by Ambassador and former State Councillor Prof. Volker Schlegel, whose expertise convinced the guests present. He was able to clear up misunderstandings in society and explain current global contexts.
President Prof. Günther Meinel guided the program and explained the difficulties and peculiarities of diplomacy, while Vice President Magister Halil Sert introduced the role of people with disabilities in society.
Other high-ranking diplomatic representatives from various countries contributed speeches, highlighting the unique aspects of their nations and discussing the potential of diplomacy. The event once again confirmed the unity of the members, partners, and friends of the organization Diplomats International, marking a full success.
